Field Services Supervisor

A vacancy has arisen for a Field Services Supervisor for Reading in the Commercial Department.
This role is 40 hours a week Monday to Friday.

In this role you will, Monitor the cleaning of commercial sites ensuring all standards are maintained through continuous auditing and checking. Coordinate with cleaning operations staff to prioritise a daily work plan in compliance with Health & Safety regulations. Facilitate training to ensure appropriate skills levels are met.

Main Tasks

  • Delivering an excellent frontline cleaning service
  • Ensuring all statutory requirements are met and all services delivered in line with current legislation
  • Monitoring cleaning contracts and reporting to the Contracts Manager
  • Auditing services and staff performance
  • Supporting on site cleaning staff and teams
  • Responding to customer requests and addressing any service errors
  • Forming good and appropriate relationships with all colleagues and clients
  • Ensure company vehicle is stocked with relevant equipment and supplies, and kept clean with checks carried out week

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Knowledge and experience of cleaning operations
  • Customer/client management skills
  • Awareness of relevant Health & Safety legislation
  • Supervisory/management experience
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational, planning and time management skills
  • IT knowledge and skills
  • Proactive working style
  • A clean driving licence is essential.

Communal Cleaning Technician

A vacancy has arisen for the role of Communal Cleaning Technician in the Communal Services Department.  This is a full time position of 8 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Main Tasks

  • Carrying out scheduled cleaning work, window cleaning and voids for the Communal division to the highest standards
  • Completing deep cleans using specialist equipment
  • Participating in the on call rota
  • Adhering to the relevant Health and Safety regulations
  • Carrying out daily and weekly maintenance vehicle and equipment checks and reporting any irregularities, damage or accidents without delay to the relevant department
  • Keeping vehicles stocked with specified stock levels and equipment
  • Collecting and completing relevant documentation to meet legal and organisational requirements
  • Delivering excellent Customer Service

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Experience of the cleaning business
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety (ideally with qualification in this area)
  • Awareness of risk and ability to conduct assessments
  • Working independently or as part of a team on special cleans such as voids
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of industry standards and understand what required to comply and meet the criteria
  • Good planning and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise and be proactive
  • A clean driving licence is essential

Field Operations Development Manager

A vacancy has arisen for a new role as Field Operations Development Manager in the Operations Department. This is a full time position of 8 hours a day Monday to Friday. 

In this role you will

  • Ensure all company operational procedures are being implemented and identify whether processes are still current and efficient for the business. Working primarily with the Communal Services Department, including Contract Management, Field Supervisory staff and teams.
  • Help develop the skills of all technical and service staff through the company training programme.
  • Working as part of a team delivering first class, professional customer service, utilising a range of Quality Assurance Management Procedures, communication methods, to ensure that customer enquiries and complaints are resolved and lessons learnt.

Main tasks

  • Identifying and delivering management and service processes to assist and support the business areas in front line service and delivery to the customer.
  • Ensuring site documents are in line with the contract conditions
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify Health and Safety compliance.
  • Check that cleaning equipment and machinery on site fulfils the requirements
  • Providing on-site training in processes including auditing and service delivery
  • Carrying out site surveys, audits and service checks in line with processes
  • Carry out filed Performance Reviews
  • Carrying out audit on Contract Management Processes
  • Encourage feedback on services provided and recognise the changing needs of the service and make recommendations to the Business Service Manager for service improvements
  • Participate in training of the Field Supervisors and Operations Co-ordinators in other divisions in order to be able to offer support and cover during breaks and scheduled and unscheduled absences

Knowledge and skills required

  • Experience of the commercial cleaning business
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety (ideally with qualification in this area)
  • Awareness of risk and ability to conduct assessments
  • Work as trainer and mentor to staff
  • Assess staff performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of industry standards and understand what required to comply and meet the criteria
  • Good planning and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise and be proactive
  • A clean driving licence is required 
  • Educated to secondary level, ideally with mathematics and English qualifications, and diploma or degree level in Business / Project Management.
